Coompanion Kooperativ Utveckling Skaraborg, The Cooperative Development Agency in Skaraborg, is an economic association with the purpose to inform and give advice about cooperative issues.
 
Cooperative business advice We provide advice on various issues – cooperative, financial and legal matters – for the newly started, as well as, established economic associations and for the social economy enterprises. An important part of our mission is to be present during the whole start up process for economic associations, cooperatives and enterprises within the social economy.  
- developing the cooperative business idea and enterprise
- financial prerequisites, business- and market planning
- group work and management, the cooperative principles
- setting up the economic association, assist with formulating the constitution (the rules) and participate at constituent meetings
- facilitating contacts with government bodies and agencies and with other organisations of importance for new enterprises 
 
Once the budget is acceptable and the constitution of the association is written and the association is formed, it is time to register the economic association with Bolagsverket (Swedish Companies Registration Office) www.bolagsverket.se. When Bolagsverket has sent you your registered organisation number, it is time to register with Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Office) www.skatteverket.se. 
 
Training 
 We offer various training courses in conjunction with our member organisations in the form of seminars, study circles and/or short courses.The training courses cover areas and subjects such as – the cooperative principles, social cooperatives, economic associations; operation, management and budgeting, enterprising and procurement, local development and business development.
